Lee Ah-reum, a member of the group T-ara, has reportedly been hospitalized after attempting to take her own life. According to a report by OSEN, Lee Ah-reum was rushed to the hospital for treatment following her suicide attempt.
The incident is believed to be linked to the immense stress and pressure she has been facing, particularly related to her ongoing divorce proceedings with her ex-husband and issues stemming from her hacked cell phone, including extortion attempts for money.
Lee Ah-reum is currently going through a divorce with her husband. The actress, who tied the knot with a businessman two years younger than her in 2019 and shares two sons with him, publicly announced her divorce in December last year, also mentioning her new relationship with a boyfriend. She expressed her intentions to start afresh once the divorce proceedings are finalized.
In addition to the divorce turmoil, Lee Ah-reum has made alarming statements about her children facing abuse during this period. In an interview with OSEN, she revealed distressing incidents, stating, “He threw urine in their faces. The younger one laughed because he didn’t understand, but the older one expressed discomfort and shame. She mentioned feeling awful about it but couldn’t bring herself to tell anyone. It’s heartbreaking to hear such things, especially when it’s not about discipline but sheer cruelty.”
Recently, she also spoke out about the harassment she has endured, including malicious comments, psychic scams, and threatening messages and calls. “I have filed a police report as I am certain about the threats. I hope this stops further harm to my family and friends, and that these false claims and evidence creation cease,” she stated.
