A star-studded cast including Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byung-chul, and Kim Hyang-gi has been announced for the upcoming Netflix series “Cashero,” based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name.
The series delves into a down-to-earth superhero story, revolving around Kang Sang-woong, an ordinary civil servant whose life takes a dramatic turn when he gains superpowers that are tied to the cash he possesses. With his newfound abilities, he embarks on a mission to save the world, all while navigating the challenges of everyday life and his aspirations of homeownership.
Lee Jun-ho takes on the role of Kang Sang-woong, embodying the character’s transformation from a humble community center official to a powerful superhero fueled by his financial resources. His journey is intertwined with his long-time lover, Kim Min-sook, played by Kim Hye-jun. Kim Min-sook brings a pragmatic yet supportive energy to the story, complementing Kang Sang-woong’s newfound powers with her efficient and practical mindset.
Adding depth to the cast is Kim Byung-chul as the psychic defense attorney, whose abilities are activated by alcohol consumption. As a key figure in the Korean Association of Psychics, he joins forces with Kang Sang-woong to combat the mysterious Buminhoe organization. Kim Hyang-gi portrays Bang Eun-mi, a psychic with telekinetic abilities tied to her calorie intake. Despite her fearless demeanor and unique powers, she becomes a reliable ally for Kang Sang-woong and the defense attorney.
