The highly anticipated film “Exhuma” has kicked off its box office journey with a remarkable performance!
“Exhuma” unfolds as an occult mystery, revolving around two exorcists portrayed by Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun, a mortician played by Yoo Hae Jin, and a feng shui master, portrayed by Choi Min Sik. Together, they engage in the relocation of mysterious graves in exchange for a substantial sum of money.
Impressively, the movie claimed the top spot in the Korean box office during its initial two days of release on February 22 and 23, swiftly attracting over 1 million moviegoers.
According to the Korean Film Council, “Exhuma” achieved this milestone by accumulating a total of 1,000,891 moviegoers by the morning of February 24, accomplishing the feat in less than three days.
It’s worth noting that “Exhuma” reached the 1 million moviegoer mark at a faster pace compared to the previous blockbuster “12.12: The Day,” which held the title of Korea’s highest-grossing film in 2023, taking approximately four days to surpass the 1 million milestone.
