ATBO marked the 79th Arbor Day with a meaningful tree planting volunteer activity, showcasing their commitment to environmental conservation and carbon neutrality.
IST Entertainment, ATBO’s agency, revealed that the group participated in the ’79th Arbor Day Commemorative Tree Planting Event’ in Gangwon-do. The event aimed to plant 3,000 larch saplings, emphasizing the significance of preserving forest ecosystems and promoting carbon neutrality.
The event brought together 150 participants, including notable figures such as the head of the Eastern Regional Forest Service, the head of the Jeongseon National Forest Management Office, and representatives from various forest conservation organizations and youth groups.
ATBO’s involvement in environmental initiatives is not new. Last year, the group was appointed as ambassadors for the ‘Korea Forest Love Youth Corps 2023,’ highlighting their role as environmental advocates. In line with this, they actively participated in the ’78th Arbor Day Tree Planting Event’ in Gyeongsangbuk-do, following a devastating forest fire.
The group’s dedication extends beyond mere participation in events. ATBO has also donated proceeds from their album sales to raise awareness about the importance of forest conservation, demonstrating their holistic approach to environmental stewardship.
What sets ATBO’s commitment apart is the collective effort of not just the members but also the employees of IST Entertainment, who joined hands in promoting forest conservation among the youth, the future custodians of our planet.
Ryu Junmin, speaking on behalf of ATBO, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful initiatives as ambassadors for the Korea Forest Love Youth Group. He emphasized the group’s ongoing commitment to protecting and advocating for forests, pledging to continue their efforts in spreading awareness and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
