On the 27th, So-mi officially unveiled her beauty brand’s first product, a four-color highlighter palette. However, the excitement was tempered by the product’s price tag. Priced at ₩43,000 ($32) for the four-color palette, some fans and netizens raised concerns about the affordability compared to similar products available in drugstores and road shops, typically priced between ₩20,000 to ₩30,000 ($15-$22).

The debate over the pricing of So-mi’s highlighter palette has divided opinions. Some fans defended the pricing, citing the brand’s newness and the association with Jeon So-mi’s name as factors justifying the higher cost. They argued that quality and branding contribute to the product’s value.

On the other hand, critics argued that the price was too steep, especially considering the competitive market for beauty products and the availability of more affordable alternatives.
